Mother's Day Potholders

Here are a couple more potholder's I made recently.

I made one for my mom and one for my Gran.

I stitched "Mom" on the above one and "Gran" on the one below.

I thought this gave them a much more personal touch. :)

As mentioned in an earlier post, I just drew out their names on canvas with an invisible ink pen. After that, I attached my darning foot and dropped my feet dogs on my sewing machine to freely move the directions I wanted the stitches to go.

I loved being able to incorporate calligraphy into fabric. I think they are so cute and make such a cute gift for anyone special!
